Updating the BIOS

I have an Asus A8N-SLI nforce4 motherboard. (the non-deluxe, non-premium version)

My bios is currently 1008 and my system runs fine and I was wondering if it's really necessary to update the bios to the latest version 1013. Do you guys always update to the latest bios version, or is it where the saying goes.."if it aint broke, don't fix it".

I wanted to overclock but wasn't sure if i really needed the "latest and greatest" bios version.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah I always recommend not to update the BIOS unless the fix addresses a specific problem you are having or is reported to increase performance/overclocking ability.

If it does nothing for you...leave it alone.
