'Updating System Info.'......every boot????

I just built a new computer and installed 98se. Everytime this thing boots I get the 'Updating System Files' little screen. I'm thinking this may be a bios setting problem but have no clue what to do?? The little update screen goes away and it boots Windows no problem.

Anyone have an idea?
