Updating Samsung SSD firmware without Magician software? (840 EVO)

Is installing Samsung Magician software the only way to update the 840 EVO's firmware? I didn't see a separate firmware updater on their site.
 
"Below you will find the latest firmware downloads for recent Samsung-branded SSDs.
Zipped files must be used with Samsung Magician Software.
ISO files may be used only via DOS using a bootable CD/DVD."

Seem to be easier to just install Magician. Update, and then uninstall it.
