updating old win98 to win98se question

does it matter or some kind of coding problem might happen if use someone else's win98se cd? The official upgrade cd. Thats what my friend complaining to me.

no there should not be a problem, all cds are the same, just make sure you have the proper key.

Ya, the key is good stright from MS I think my friend meant that the key is different might cause problem.

As long as the type of CD is the same, there should be no problem. This means that the code for Win98SE upgrade will not work for Win98SE OEM, and vice versa. However, if the code if for the upgrade and you use another upgrade CD, there should be no problem at all.
