Updating Norton's 2002 Antivirus and Norton's 2003 Antivirus Update without using the internet

Hi all,

I have several machines that have Norton's 2002 and Norton's 2003 antivirus
on them my question is there a way I can download the updates and burn them onto
a cd instead of having to hook each one up to the net and doing the liveupdate
process?

Downloading almost 10mb of files on a 56K modem is rough when you have to do
it several times!

you can definately download the dat files. the other stuff tho i think you need to be connected for. there is a section for program updates, you can try there for anything other than the dat files.

I found an update file to download that was like
8mb in size....I don't know if it did anything but
put new virus definitions in it or program updates too!

that's just the virus defs. apparently you can only update 2001+ through liveupdate now. if you go to their site and look under patches/upgrades for nav there's only two entries (nav 2000 and nav for mac) with this note:

NOTE: If your version is not listed below, then there are no updates or patches available to manually download. Please run LiveUpdate to be sure your software is up to date.

so it looks like other updates will have to be done over the modem.
