Updating GTK+

Does anyone know how or if it is possible to update the GTK+ from 2.6.10revA to the latest version yourself.

Seeing as there is no update for GAIM with the latest version already included I dont know how.

I downloaded it and tried replacing the .dll's and what not, but it was missing certain procedures and entry points within the new ones. I dont know how i would try to connect it with GTK+ 2.10.5 other than what i just did.

Well when I say connect, I mean connect to the internet. The network library in GTK+ was incompatible with gaim or something like that. The Gtk installer should register the new GTK+ installation so that it "connects" to gaim in that way. I'd recommend sticking with 2.6. Under Win32 I've had nothing but problems with GTK+ >2.6 and gaim. With Ubuntu though I'm using GTK+ 2.10 and gaim 2.0 with no problems so who knows.

Gaim2 for win32 was not linked with GTK+ 2.8 or 2.10 so you can't expect it to work correctly.
