Updating bios

I want to update my bios for the Aopen AK72 motherboard. To do this I have to enter ms-dos puremode. My floppydevice isn´t working, so I have to create a ms-dos bootdiskette on a cdrom.
BUT HOW? I have WinXP

There are lots of possibilities - any way you can manage a pure DOS boot-up (as opposed to a DOS box or "drop to DOS" from within Windows) will work. A plain Win98 sys a: disk will work. So will the disks from bootdisk.com.

How? I know the command prompt, but that´s not puredos...
