Updating bios via Winflash

Trying to update my bios using Winflash, which is software that came with mobo. Looks pretty simple, but it doesn't explain the update options "BootBlock" or "DMI Area". Should i have those boxes checked when updating my bios? What about Clear CMOS or CMOS default? The only box that is checked now is Bootball. I don't know what any of this stuff means exactly. Could someone explain?
