updating BIOS under Windows XP

I've got an ECS K7S5A (SiS 735) Motherboard, and I'm running Windows XP. I'm trying to figure out how to update my BIOS.

I used my Windows 98 Startup Disk to get to a DOS prompt, but upon running the .exe file from the floppy drive, I get an "unreadable" error.

I've double-checked SiS's website to make sure I've got the correct BIOS flash utility and the correct BIOS - even re-downloaded and re-copied the file to make sure.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt

Go here to get a boot disk, when prompted insert floppy with flash and follow instructions 🙂

*edit* sorry, misread your post, my post wasn't what you needed :Q

Check out this page concerning your mobo, there might be some settings in your bios (or a jumper on the mobo) that you need to set first?
