Updating BIOS/6300 overheating?

Hey guys, I have a P5B, and I get a cpu ucode error, how do I go about updating my BIOS in the safest way?

Secondly, my cpu goes from 60-~85, back and forth sometimes quick and sometimes not at all, but it does happen, is the Asus probe 2 wrong or is it a BIOS issue?

60 to 85 C? Your heatsink is not installed right. If you are using the push-pin heatsink, you need to push those allllll the way done until you can see all 4 stick out the other end. So you need to take your mobo out of chasis and do this installation...

It's the Intel heatsink where you have to push two diaganol corners at the same time, kind of difficult.

But you say it's not on right, yet it's very snug, I can't adjust it at all it's on so tight. But if you say so....would reapplying the heatsink cause grease issues?
