Updating AMD ASUS graphics card BIOS

At some point ASUS released BIOS updates for a lot of its Radeon HD 7000 series cards, including the 7870 that I have. They allow you to download it from here:

http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/HD7870DC22GD5/#support

It comes as an application called "UEFI" which seems like it should automatically install the new BIOS. However, when I try running it, it says "Motherboard is not UEFI compatible" and fails to install. I went into the application's Program Files folder and found that a version of the ATI Winflash application was included, so I figured I'd just find the BIOS in the folder and install in manually that way. From what I've read online, video card BIOS are kept as .rom files...but the Program Files folder didn't have any .rom files. I assume that means the BIOS was wrapped in an application in the Program Files folder? Does anyone have any idea how I can install this BIOS?

After looking at that website it seems they only updated the tool not the actual bios/firmware for the card.

A little digging came up with this page:

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...tool-for-Radeon-7000-series-cards!-It-s-Here!

The download from the support page is a tool for detecting your graphics card, downloading the BIOS for it, and installing the updated BIOS. It appears on the graphics card download page because there is an actual update available for that card's BIOS, it's just a roundabout way of getting it. But as that page notes, the tool will not work if you don't have an ASUS motherboard. That's just ridiculous.

I filed a support request with Asus to see if there's any way I can get the updated BIOS without having an Asus motherboard.
