(UPDATE ONE)

Ok, so I took her out to lunch today and she seems very cool! :)

We got to talking and we agree on most everything we talked about. Relationships, cars, families, lifestyles, travelling, etc. but I couldn't get a clear picture if she was interested in me. I mean, obviously she was comfortable around me as she probably wouldn't have talked about that sort of stuff in depth if she wasn't... (I'm guessing anyway)

Best of all, this girl ate a whole freaking subway sandwidth at one setting and she isn't even fat! Can a man ask for anything more? :)

Anyway, I'm gonna ask her out again and see if I can't get to know her better. Wish me luck! I'll report back later and I might even get a pic (sorry no time today and no camera).

My mom (of all people) hired a girl who she met at her job to their to help her clean up a junk room. Turns out the girl just moved into town last week and doesn't know a soul. She just got her BA degree in Elementary Education (She is in her ealy 20s) and she just moved to Alaska because as she says "I've always always wanted to work with kids and I've wanted to live in Alaska. So, I figured I'd just take the plung and do it!" She doesn't have kids or a significant other and lives in a small cabin with no running water. (She is living on a small budget and really hates that fact that she doesn't have water, but a lot of cabins here in Alaska don't have water...)

Anyway, I figured that I could call her and offer to show her around town. I don't want it to come off as a date really as no doubt she is pretty overwhelmed right now being new and all. Any ideas of things I could show/do with her that isn't like a date but could lead to something in the future? Just from talking with her a little today, she really sounds like my type. Ohhh and she is uber HOT!:)

Basically, I'm just looking for some general ideas of some fun things do with someone who is new in a town. Movies, showing her the sites around town, etc.???

btw, as you can probably tell by seeing this message posted on a internet message board, I'm not "a player" as I just got out of a 2.5 years relationship, which was my first real relationship (I'm 21).

As for what you could do...I'd say to stay away from the movies, since that's not exactly unique to Alaska. :) Definitely show her some sites, maybe something that's not purely for tourists...any intricacies around the city that she'd find "cool"...maybe some good but cheap restaurants?

Good luck, but it sounds like you're still interested in her, so make sure you don't get set into the "friend zone". :)

sounds like you have the golden opportunity. new hot girl in town with no friends. you are her boss's son so she will certainly be nice to you. all you gotta do is work your magic!!

not having running water would certainly be a bitch. i take the faucet and toilet for granted and i cant imagine having a place with no running water.

i wish i had a golden opportunity like this. please do get PICS!!

Heh, it's kind of wierd really.... my ex didn't have running water either! True, some cabins here in Alaska don't have running water, but it's FARRRRR from common! I'd say 2-3% of households here don't have water. But like I've said, if you are living on a small budget, there are cabins around town that are really cheap.

Anyway, my ex would come over just about every night and take a shower at my place. So I guess that could be an attraction. :D

Actually it's something like 107 females to every 100 males.

Now, the university of Alaska Fairbanks (the univ. I goto) has a ratio of like 2:1. :D

hrmm.. i've used that line before.. didn't quite work.. oh well...

as for things to do.. just take her out.. as stated before, show her the "cool" things around town.. if she's an outdoorsey type, just take her for a hike at one of your favorite trails.. definately not movies though... that's more of a date thing.. and it's not so cool since you guys can't talk in the movie.. and it's not (as stated before) unique to your city.. so.. do something that you wouldn't be able to do in say.. california

Heh, why? The only thing I've written that could be constrewed as bad would be me calling her "uber HOT". WHich is a compliment! :D

My intentions are nothing but noble. I assure you... :)
