Updated to v7.9 Catalyst Drivers

RU482

Lifer
I have a fairly ancient video card by many standards (Radeon 9700pro). I read that ATI/AMD had new Catalyst drivers out, and the drivers I had loaded were circa 2006, so I figured what the heck.

Now, gameplay looks a little better, but 2D stuff (desktop icons, firefox, ect) look fuzzy, almost blurry.

Is there a setting I can change, or do I need to downgrade my drivers?

Hmm, I changed the AGP Arpeture from 64MB to 256MB, and the frame buffer from 32MB to 128MB. The display is noticeably better, but still not a crisp as it was before I updated to 7.9.

Good enough, as I am going to be giving this PC to my kids soon anyway
