NOTICE: This was originally posted in Software, but its a good read and I think you guys would get a kick out of it. Oh yea, and this is The Sims 2, BTW.

My sim, Charles, grew up with the ambiton of Astronomy and has always wanted a teletscope to stargaze. When I initially moved him into his first house, there was little space for a telescope to sit so I never purchased one. But, frankly because of the confusion and fast-paceness of life (sounds familiar, eh?) -I just kind of forgot about it anyways.

Well, yesterday was the big day for us and I went out and bought him a new house, complete with a deck in the backyard perfect for a band-spank'n-new Telescope to sit. The second I bought it for him, I couldnt get him away from it. Studing time for cooking and mechanics went down, speech practice dropped significantly, but alas, he was very very happy with his new toy.

One night while stargazing Charles thought he saw something through the telescope that seemed to resemble a UFO. Not beleiving his eyes he checked again and found nothing. Slightly disappointed (I imagine) he went to bed that night and fell asleep dreaming of Aliens and UFOs. I went into the kitchen to get another screwdriver while he slept. When I returned, as routine would have it, it was the next morning and Charles was already awake eating some pancakes for breakfast. As he headed off to work I prepared to sit back for a few mins and let time laps quickly until he came home. Well, to my surprise work sent him home early on maternity leave.

Turns out my Sim was abducted and impregnated by aliens.

What. The. Fvck.

*UPDATE*

Nice.. When I played the Sims, I never let my dude use the bathroom or wear any clothes other than his speedo. His house was messy but the girls liked him. (true story)

Nice story! Now you got me wanting to mess with the telescope :)

My first sim was a step away from being a General. One night the trash compactor decided to go on the fritz and tried to repair it. I guess he couldn't handle the voltage and well, I got to see the Grim Reaper. Another Sim I killed off by drowning, damn those ghost are pesky.

heh i spent more time killing off my Sims character then making them full.

BUT i have heard a few good things about the Sims 2. that they actually do more and you have more options.

it sorta is. Depends on the age I think. They make it so that the sex scenes are masked behind stuff and in the water. Its just suggested.

I wasn't sure, because the ad I saw for it makes it seem that sex was pretty major. I can't have my nephew playing with little nekid sims. :)

My guy is pretty boring. Ever since I bought him a computer, he goes there ALL THE TIME. And it always says the same thing, "Your sim has no email" or something to that extent. He must be on AT all the time or something. And ever since he became elderly, all he does is use the bathroom. Man, all the time!

Have you tried out any of the community areas yet? Did it for the first time last night, was able to buy some clothes and now have different outfits.
