UPDATE: The 4200 64M card was obiously a 3.3V card and the 5600 Ultra 128M is obviously a 1.5V card because it works!

Saturday I traded for a SN45G and tried to throw in my MSI GF4 Ti4200 64M that I'm almost positive is a 1.5V card. I have reseated it many times and reset the BIOS a few. I still get the AGP Protection LED coming on as soon as I plug in the PS. This card is know to be working on another system, I know it's not the problem.

I have the system up and running with a PCI video card and seem to have no problems. I have set the BIOS to 4X which is what the MSI is, tried it with everything set up and still gettin' the stupid little LED! :|

I DON'T want to run this PCI card and I don't want to go and buy another card (although I could use the upgrade!)

PLEASE HELP!

I'm thinkin' that MSI made a few 3V 4200's and I have one... other than that I have no clue what to do other than to get a new card... :(

I had a Ti4600 that did the same thing. It was supposed to be 4X but it would not function at 4X, only 2X - had to return it. Test to see if it will function at 4X in another system.

In my DFI L.P. nF2 rev.A it ran great at 4X all day long... I'm begining to think that it just won't ever be compatable with the Shuttle and I'm goin' to have to get another card... it's to bad too 'cause I got 13,000+ 3D2K1 marks with it... maybe someone needs alittle cash and I can trade it for a better card...

Try borrowing another card from someone to test your AGP slot. A friend of mine had a Shuttle SS51G that had a bad AGP slot. Shuttle fixed it under warranty.

I have a friend coming over tomorrow (we both work and I have kids or I'd have done it sooner) to throw in his 9600 Pro Ultimate... I might have my 5600 Ultra by then to...

...I will post up here my results but the guy I traded it from said it was workin' the mornin' of the day we traded, he shut it down and stripped it down to hand over to me... we'll see tomorrow one way or the other!
