Chipotle SUCKS SWEATY DONKEY NADS.

Honestly; it's white guys trying to make Mexican food (I'm white as a sheet) and they bastardize it and mess it up.

Yes; I've had it. Twice. I went back a second time and ordered something diff to give them the benefit of the doubt..

One word, dude. Ick.

Major ick.

Thats funny because all the cooks in the restaurants (greek, american, italian) in my town are mexican.

where i live chipotle is a joke. as is baja fresh. they are always running promotions such as 'buy a burrito on a tuesday and get a voucher for a free burrito in the month of march'. the chipotle's and baja fresh's are always empty and i swear one time i saw a tumbleweed roll through. of course, i think it may have something to do with them charging $6+ for just a burrito (w/o gaucomole, wtf is that?!) when a bigger, cheaper and more authentic better tasting option is on every corner.

Why do people always feel the need to bring up authenticity when it comes to such restaurants? Looking at Chipotle's site I see no mention of Mexican anything, and they don't advertise themselves as a Mexican restaurant.

BTW, I think Moe's is better, but they're even more expensive.

Update: I drove 4 hours, from Savannah to Atlanta to get myself Chipotle, of course there were other reasons, but that was one of them, I got 2 to take home with me as well, I'm eating one now.

Thats sad.. but ok.

there are 2 chipotle's w/in a 5 mile radius from my home, and 1 thats about 3 miles from my work.

i eat there like on average 1.5 times a week. my GF and I love it.

i usually get a burrito bowl. recently i've been getting the carnitas. i always get the mild salsa, medium salsa, corn salsa, black beans, and a lot of cheese.

I lived IN Mexico for a Summer and I can tell you that real mexican food in Mexico sucks. What you're eating in those border towns in a fusion of Mexican and American food.

it will make you happy to know that there is a chipotle .5 miles from me right now and i have never eaten there.

Chipotle is pretty good. I eat it once a week and although they are owned by McD's their food quality is much higher.

I hate when people say crap like that... "I had chipotle for dinner last night." Makes me want to say, "That's all? You just ate a bunch of smoked jalapenos?" That's like saying "I had tomatos for dinner last night," when you really had spaghetti with tomato sauce.

Well, I had wendy's last night.

How was she?

chipotle's cannot hold a freaking CANDLE to Qdoba

Qdoba FTW!

Qdoba is one of the worst "mexican" places I've ever been to. What kind of cheese blend is American, Swiss, and Monterrey Jack (or something like that)? And WHITE rice in a burrito?

Qdoba is all that is wrong in America...it's classic bastardization of good-authentic food in an attempt to appeal to the more "bland" pallate of the American.

Qdoba FTL!

Being from Texas and being a self appointed Mexican food conisiuer I can tell you there are many levels of Mexican food. Chipotles is not on the bottom of the ladder, but 1st or second rung at best.
