Quotes from the article (in bold)
States would have the option to continue offering free school lunches to families cut off of food stamps. The Center on Budget said it was unlikely all states would do so.
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities said these were mostly working families with children.
Yea, don't cut stamps from the lazy persons that don't work at all - cut them from those toiling at minimum wage - the ones that many Americans don't mind helping. I know alot of people that hate 'welfare' but tolerate and promote food stamps for working poor - because at least they are contributing to the economy by working and spending, etc.
UPDATE:
Congress gives themselves a pay raise.
