*Updated* Require PSU to motherboard clearance in Sonata

Hi all, just one quick (hopefully) question. I may be able to get a pretty nice deal on a Thermalright SLK-947U (well, where I live anyway), and was wondering if it will fit on my Epox 8RGA+ motherboard in an Antec Sonata case.

I know that the SLK-947U is compatible with the 8RGA+/8RDA+, but because it is rotated 90 degrees compared to the SLK-900U (for example), is there enough clearance between the PSU in the sonata and the motherboard for the heatsink?

Thanks in advance! *fingers crossed everything's compatible*

The SLK-947U is rotated 90 degrees from the orientation of the SLK800, I believe. In other words, the long side is going up and down the motherboard, or once mounted, vertical, so it may have a chance of hitting the PSU since the heatsink extends over the edge of the motherboard.

I've emailed Thermalright, and they said that I'll require 2cm clearance between the top of the motherboard and the bottom of the PSU. Can someone with a Sonata please verify this for me?

I'll change the topic title to reflect the change in question now.

I have a sonata with an older Mobo in it, but I think the top edge of all mobo's is in the same place as that's where the I/O ports are.
On mine it's 1cm or less of clearance. there's not a lot of space there.
