Okay guys, I really need some help with this.

First off, system specs:
T-bird 900
Asus A7v133
256mb micron sdram
Creative M64 TNT2
Realtek NIC

Problem:
When I start the computer, it says starting Win2k, followed by the system check... after that, it says starting win2k.... and then RESET.

This has been the case EVERYTIME. I tried loading last known good Profile, but that didnt help (same problem).

I can boot through SAFE mode fine.

Other than that, I am lost. (win2k newbie)

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks

pull all cards (except the video) and add them back one at a time. see which card causes the problem. it sounds like it might be a hardware conflict to me. or your kernel could just be f@#@! good luck to ya

Just a suggestion:

Right click on My Computer, go to Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > and uncheck Automatically Reboot when system fails. That might work.

Thanks for the suggestion.

When I Unchecked the 'Reboot' checkmark (My Computer, go to Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > and uncheck Automatically Reboot when system fails.)

It told me that I needed to start 'Alerter'

So I went into Services (In Computer Management), and tried starting it.

It gave me the following error:

'Could not start the Alert service on local computer.
Error 1068 : The dependency service or group failed to start'

How can I fix this?
Please help.

THanks
