Be careful. Very easy to lose control. My friend has an 02 and he's put a good amount of money into suspension, front strut bar, front and rear sways, lowering springs, stage 1 act clutch. He's looking to sell his for 26k, with something like 26k on the clock.

So you paid a pretty large amount. What was I going to say...Um, have fun with 9 grand redline, have fun getting a new clutch soon. Warranty DOES not go to 100k? wtf? My friends was a 3 year, 36,000 from the factory, and he had an extended warranty that didn't cover any wear items(including clutch) clutch went out at 25k.

25k? Your friend has NO clue how to drive stick. None.

Go look at S2k ads. Half of them say "new clutch" because the car pushes you eats them. You have to dump it at higher RPMs to really get power, so it is not a suprise.

dumping it would only be when you're starting out, and no one with any brains would do that more than a few times....i'm pretty sure one could drive aggressively and still make the clucth last a good deal longer than 25k with proper shifting

Those guys bought the wrong car. They're looking for torque to satisfy their butt dynos.

very true bR. OP, was your Grand Prix a GTP? I could only imagine the world of difference between loads of torque on demand vs. huge HP but not until, like, 7.5K RPM... Oh yeah, nice car 😉 Need some pics of the interior though; black&red ftw!
