Updated Liveware3 Win2k drivers

well, so far so good for me.. they're just drivers, though... i'm still waiting on the liveware 3.0 package(i'm guessing it'll be here really soon). 🙂

Also, the rear output with these drivers is a lot better than with the last betters. My headphones are hooked up to the rear outs, and they sound a lot better with these drivers 🙂

yeah the file size seems too small to be the amazingly bloated LiveWare. I'm sure there are people though who would rather install the simple drivers than mess with all the extra crap contained in LW.

Thanks for posting this.

I installed the updated drivers and went under device mangager, and the file dates are still dated Feb '00 for the SB Live! :Q

I did everything right and the install program even asked me to reboot so I don't know what's up

looks like the drivers are v2.2 from july 99...at least that's what the agreement section says...

I'm holding off on installing them... 🙁

dll:

I think that´s just the license agreement, not the actual software...even the first Liveware for Win2k wasn`t out in july 99, I think! 🙂

Head to creative labs directly... not the FTP site... haven't installed but LiveWare 3.0 was posted on 7/11. Not sure if it is the same file that is on FTP.

Will post an update once installed.

Good luck all.

During installation, the background says liveware 3.0.
Also, the date of the drivers is indeed 5/5/00.

It just seems like updated drivers (like it said on the website)
but it has none of the liveware 3.0 features. Still only the 2.0 features.

I have only one problem with the new driver. When I have my ATI TV on, the volume control for the TV tuner now controls CD Line, not Line In like it is supposed to (or at least it does in Win98). Because of this, I now have to use my volume nob a lot more. Anybody know how to fix this? This was also a problem with the Liveware 2k.. I reinstalled Win2k after that and this is the first sound upgrade I have done since the new system up. BTW, games sound sooo much better with the soundblaster drivers! (I have a bose 4 speaker/1 sub system hooked up to a Sony reciever, before drivers explosions in Dues Ex sounded really crappy, now they sound perfect!).

Damed if I know.

After hitting the .exe file:

1st time, it did nothing.
2nd time, all it said was do you want to reboot.
3rd time, the setup program actuall ran 😀
