Ripped from this DVDTalk.com thread.

$20.45 James Bond DVD Gift Set - Volume 3
-5% CitiBank coupon
-5% eBates.com
=========================
$18.46

Shipping is around $2.95 plus taxes, of course.

The James Bond DVD Gift Set - Volume 3 includes the following movies:
DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971),
FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (1963),
THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (1987),
OCTOPUSSY (1983),
A VIEW TO A KILL (1985),
and YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (1967).

Since this is a possible pricing error your order may be cancelled but if you're willing to take a risk then go for it. Two of my friends ordered this yesterday and received shipping confirmations today for their orders at the $20.45 price.

1/20 UPDATE: --- This is SMOKIN HOT!!!, ala Best Buy deja vu. I haven't checked the DVDTalk thread since last night but did read the latest posts in this thread. I just called 800.com customer service at 1-800-327-5815 and spoke with Chris who was helpful. After I provided him with my order number he said "oh ok you ordered the James Bond DVD set", I said "yeah", then he proceeded into a 2 minute speel about how they are reviewing all the orders (that explains why my online order status says, "ON HOLD"). So after Chris read his speel, I played dumb and innocent, he said my order will be honored since I only ordered one. Then he reminded me that all orders will be reviewed and then most likely will be shipped out. He explained that their web site was a little misleading because the picture and bold text listed James Bond DVD Gift Set - Volume 3 instead of showing a picture of A View To Kill DVD with the correct title showing.

I also asked him:
Q: What if you never received your e-mail confirmation (like me)?
A: Don't worry, almost everyone who ordered this has their order put on hold while they decide how to handle this.

Q: What if they decide to cancel all orders or charge them $99 can I cancel and when should I?
A: Check back Monday morning, if your order is not honored then cancel it before it ships.

Q: What if my e-mail order confirmation says "A View To Kill DVD", should I cancel it?
A: NO! Wait until 800.com has come to a final decision on how to handle this matter.

Like MontyBurns said, just sit tight and wait it out. There's no need to get paranoid and assume that you will receive "A View To Kill" or your order will be cancelled.

If you ordered last night 1/19 or very early morning 1/20 and only ordered ONE then you're probably going to receive it for only $20.45

If you ordered later in the day or ordered multiple copies then that's kind of iffy. Remember you can always cancel your order before it ships and not get charged.

1/23 UPDATE: --- People have starting receiving their $18.46 James Bond DVD Set.

U 2 Rahvin? I was hoping this was for another gift set than the one I too picked up at Best Buy for $40.

And who said that Bond sucked? :|

$100 for letterbox vs $20 for normal. hmm.. at best, its worth up to $40, not $100 though. of course, for some people it's priceless.

What's the difference between the regular and letterbox versions? I'll probably be watching these on my roommates 53" Hitachi projection TV. Then again why do I really care if this isn't a great DVD set because it's only $18.46

This one is going to be a headache...I ordered and got the printout of my receipt, but my email confirmation says its the View to a Kill DVD alone, not the box set. Looks like I am going to have to call up 800.com tomorrow...sigh

Looks like the box set is 99.95 and the 20 dollar version is just a single DVD.

Read the description carefully. :)

Click here for the description, unfortunately the information is somewhat conflicting as MadMark pointed out.

I think I'll wait it out for now and call their customer service tomorrow and see what happens.

Please update this thread with the progress of your order.

But it does say Run Time: 740 minutes. I don't think that's possible with a single dvd. Or do they? It is also the case that during check-out confirmation, it states it is an order for the set although the email afterward says only A View To Kill. I am sure we can call them up tomorrow and check on it. 6 bond dvd's for 23 bucks is not a bad deal at all. Thanx.

Go to the link to DVDTalk Rossman posted, they talk all about this deal and how it has actually happened before. It is a pricing error, but we might get them to honor it.

I just ordered mine. Definitely a good deal if 800.com decides to honor the misprint. I just hope to get my confirmation right now. This is definitely a good deal no matter what. The deal is not dead yet.

Just please: no one bitch or moan if 800 doesn't honor this. I'm so tired of hearing people whine when they try to take advantage of vendor's misprints and it doesn't work out.

I hope we're all adults.

Don't be such a poopy-pants MPG :)

You've got nothing to lose! 800.com is a reputable etailer. If they honor it - great! if not just cancel.

Yep I totally agree. That's why I mentioned towards the end of my first post that this is a possible pricing error. Just people were forewarned that they're taking a gamble. There's very little you could lose, provided you cancel the order BEFORE it ships. Fortunately 800.com has honored previous pricing errors in the customer's favor.

Nothing wrong with gaining advantage of the vendor, if they decide to honor the misprint. After ordering you would wait 24 hours to wait for the confirmation. you can simply call and refund if they dont honor.

iwearnosox you seem like you posted a "bitch and moan" yourself about a brag and moan.

Another misprice!! I already got one last year from Bestbuy. Anyway, I'd order it again. If 800.com would not honor it, the worst is just simply return it. No moaning here.

Actually 800.com had previously mispriced this exact same item around the time BestBuy did. Best Buys price was ~ 30.00 whiler 800.coms misprice was I think around 18.00.

They honored the misprice last time from what I heard. No telling on this one.

If they don't honor the price "I say we hang them, then tatoo them, and then we kill them!"

I ordered my copy of James Bond but when I received my e-mail confirmation it was for "View to a kill". When I told their customer service rep the problem he laughed at me and hung up.:(
