Look here for the Secrets DVD Player Shootout.. The CP72 is is far superior to the RP62 and on par with the heralded RP82. The only drawback to the CP72 is a QC problem with a short in the component outputs that causes white flashes and lines..

Personally, I went with the XP30 over the CP72 and RP62. It's not a changer, but its build quality and two-inch height is fantastic.

Do you have to do the vcd header trick with the CP-72?

Anyone know if there will be a new multi-disc panasonic player coming out soon? Panasonic's site has the xp30 and 50 but no new changer.

I have the CP-72 from the previous Crutchfield deal. No header trick needed - plays SVCD just fine.
