I'm looking at a toy that would normally cost $400 that's currently bidding around $80. It's being sold by a pawn shop and is missing almost all of the keywords it needs to be drawn the right attention. I'm planning to snipe it with a max bid of $200, mabye more...

You can't get this for under $390 in retail channels. It's the only dual-tuner, over the air, HDTV set box I've ever been able to find. I just STOLE IT. I KNOW that if I don't like it, I can still turn a profit on it reselling it.
 
I felt that way when I was buying an NES top load system (the 8-bit redesign). I lost a few and then finally won one. So nice. Can't wait to see what you are getting. Hope it's Beanie Babies.

Edit: I did some work on a production line that made Diazepam injections. But you probably meant pills.

Bubble=Burst, check the completed listings, multiple previous auctions completed in the same price range......

Still, you got a good deal compared to retail, but just an average deal compared to ebay prices.

I beat each of them by at least $20 including shipping.. but yeah.. you're right... that is about the going rate...

I'd have gladly paid up to $200 total for it.
 
I got excited last week watching this nikon lens collar tick down. The item has been on my ebay watch list (where it emails you when one is listed) for months, but they just are not listed very often. A new (OEM or replacement) costs about $150, so when it was listed, I emailed the guy offering $50. He said OK, but failed to follow up. So I used an online service to snipe it with 5 seconds left, and got it for $37. 😀

Not really, but paypal records indicate he bought a USPS shipping label online yesterday and labeled it as shipped. So I'm pretty sure I'll get it.
