I never owned a soccer jersey before, and so I was pretty hyped on getting a first (after Manchester United won the Champions League). Thus, I thought this jersey was authentic. In the end, it shipped from Malaysia, which raised a red flag as to it's authenticity. I asked on Soccerpulse.com, and they automatically said right away is was a fake when I received it. Thus, I am in the process right now if trying to contact the seller for a refund.

If they deny me, should I contact paypal (I paid without a sign in)? Otherwise, should I go contact the BBB? Do you think it's ok for me to attempt to get a refund for a jersey I thought was authentic but learned otherwise?

Update: 7/3
I decided to do a chargeback, since many soccer fans on another thread had proven that people were selling these fakes trying to imitate the real deal, but...

Did they just take the money back out?...

I missed the part on the website which said it was authentic and not a replica.

You fail.

Try to get a refund.

In the future, buy your jerseys from kitbag.com (authentic and they ship quick)

I agree, It does'nt say Authentic anywhere on the site.
You can try to fight, but smart buyers are'nt like you and never fall for low priced Knockoffs!

I beleive they might already be available but I could be wrong. I just bought the 07/08 Liverpool home jersey (white/teal/red) coz it looks wicked nice. Never know what the next one will be like, sometyimes they pick some ugly ass colors.

The problem isnt the jersey, but that you hopped on the ManUre bandwagon. You deserve to lose you money for supporting a team that makes the Yankees look saintly.

But if they use the brand name, wouldn't that suggest it was actually made by Nike?...

To my eyes (since I am not that experienced with soccer jerseys), yes it does.

With the slim waist and flared bottom, are you sure you didn't order the female jersey?

Do you even follow the matches happening on the other side of the world??

Either way, If they won't take it back you're SOL... Paypal won't help you one bit as long as they've shipped SOMETHING to you. If you paid by credit card, THEY might help you, but even still you're better off wearing your lame jersey. No one in freaking Seattle is going to notice.

QFT. Next time find a respectable dealer and pay the usual price. If it looks too good to be true...

I was thinking that too... But for $58... and Man jerseys was ~$69, I thought it'd be close... Apparently my intuition failed me.

So I attempted to do a chargeback, since clearly this was not an authentic jersey (and no replicas ARE NOT MADE).
Did Paypal just take the money back? Or did I lose the chargeback?
