Aw, crap! I just bought one on 6/30.

No...wait. For a while it was $70, then it was $80 when I got it. Now it's $70 again but only after the MIR hassel. Whew.

I got a Biostar for my kid's computer last month and it works really well. The only problem I found is it is not an overclocker's MB, and it had a bit of trouble recognizing the CD to start with. I think it might be a bit sensitive to certain memory. There are some reviews on the newegg site. Other than that, I have liked it a lot. It is very stable, and seems to operate fast. The sound chip is a bit cheezy, I use a SB card in the system. I also have the MSI K7N2 delta-L which is comparable, I like the MSI a bit better.

get the epox, biostar boards usually really bite with overclocking, though the ones that i have had are very stable at stock speeds.

some people are pretty mean...

maybe he thought people would be confused about the title.. it says 85 with a 15 dollar mir but some people may think the 85 was after the mir so he was just being nice...

and he showed us that was after shipping price...

Biostar could probably sell a lot more boards if they would have a decent manual . Even ECS does a better with manuals job so you can't use the the price arguement as to why they to don't .

Biostar M7NCD Pro is now $60 +shipping after coupon (check Techbargains)

I've also looked for reviews and they are sparse. This MB does not support SATA, Raid, or Firewire. It does come with a PCI header for 4 extra USB 2 (total of 6 on the board).

I just got a super cheap combo at Fry's (ECS K7S5A Pro/1800+ Retail) for $60, and I'm thinking about upgrading to this board and selling the ECS...

EDIT: Oops, it is at Compgeeks Here.

AND... it looks like there is a new $15 rebate good through August 31! Rebate

Make that $45 AR/AC! Not a bad deal...

Yeah, when I saw the title I thought it meant 100 - 15 = 85

Be careful with the rebate. It says "offer only valid at participating dealers". You might want to call the rebate center to confirm that Compgeeks is a participating dealer.

Ouch! Good eyes Lanyap; I just skimmed right over that. I'll have to cancel my CompGeeks order until I can verify that. The Rebate center is closed until Monday. I'll post when I find out details.

Haven't used too many Biostar MB's, but this seems like a hot deal for someone looking for an inexpensive nforce2 ultra mb. Does anybody have any experience with this board?

I checked with Biostar on the $15 rebate for this (they said it was actually Biostar and not a processing company). The "Offer only valid at participating retailers" means pretty much anywhere except auctions sites (they specifically mentioned Ebay and Ubid).

So... the deal at CompGeeks is $45 + tax/shipping AR/AC. I was especially glad because I placed the order with CompGeeks Saturday, called to cancel until I verified the rebate status, but they had already shipped my order! Normally I would have been happy because they are not supposed to be open on weekends, but this time I thought I lost $15....

However, CompGeeks told me this morning that they were already out of stock on the motherboard! If interested, you'll have to check back later or find another good deal online (there is always NewEgg at $73-$15).

I like Compgeeks becauseI live in Alaska, and they will ship USPS Priority mail to me. It costs me $26 to get anything shipped from Newegg or other on-line dealers beacause all of them only ship 2-day to Alaska.

Wish Compgeeks would carry more than close-outs and re-furbs.

Biostar MB's are good MB's for the money. But if you have any hardware issues with the MB and the place you purchaced if from wont/cant help you, you are out of luck. Biostar as a company will not deal with the end user. You can not RMA directly to Biostar.
I had two RETAIL Biostar MB's (out of a batch of 15) that were bad out of the box. The Co. I purchased from went out a business, Biostar support told me they will only fix them for a fee plus shipping both ways.
Just a heads up!

Yes Got one! THink the rebate will be good at Compgeeks? Man debated whether to get ground or 3 day shipping. Heck I will wait an extra 2-3 days for a better deal. Man, can't wait to run NFORCE!
