Updated BIOS. Now Windows will only boot in Safe Mode.

How can I fix this to be able to boot normally?

Yep, definitely check your SATA mode.

Any error message or anything when oyou boot into normal mode? Blue screen flash and instant reboot im guessing?

I checked and it's AHCI, same as before the update.

System shows windows loading screen, then a blank screen, no rebooting.

Might be a HAL issue now.

Try a WIN repair.

Load defaults, save and reboot, then go in and change settings back to what you had/need.

If that doesn't work, tell us what error message you are getting.

assuming Win7 or 8, just boot off the Windows disc and select repair. Maybe that will fix your problem.

This was my initial reaction too. Some BIOS updates have a tendency to default settings. Check this first.
