*updated* does this also interfere with the ability to set up a persistent connection? we are running WPA enterprise and users have to log in to a RADIUS server in order to connect to the WAP, so I don't see how it really could work...

No matter how I change the settings, I can't get Intel's Pro Set Wireless Pre-Logon connect to work when using HP's Credential Manager to log in to these laptops. I thought I had it working at one point, but it doesn't even attempt to log in now, just says that the domain is not available and doesn't even attempt to connect to the WAP to find a domain controller.

It works like a champ IMHO. Literally works perfectly.

It should pop up a little box when you try to login about...authenticating, finding domain controller, logging in, etc.

All wirless SSO (Single Sign ON) functionality is usually broken by other login software, such as the hp stuff, and fingerprint readers.

was hopintg you'd chime in. they dig their fingers way deep into the OS in order to do what they (wireless clinet software) need to do.

Yes, no vendor has yet to pass a CCX V3 cert (requires SSO functionality) with any other software like fingerprint reader os this HP software. After one failure (at $8.5K a pop) they learned to remove it before sending the equipment really quickly, and iirc, the cert now states that it's only V3 compliant with the software removed (for devices with integrated fingerprint readers)

Thanks, I was afraid this was the issue. The hp credential manager stuff has single sign on stuff built in, so I figured it was a conflict. The attorneys here aren't going to be happy about this, oh well.

I have other notebooks here that work flawlessly, and it was driving me nuts to know I had set it up properly on other notebooks and could not figure out what i was doing wrong
