UPDATE1: you need to help me tip for pizza. 40 minutes!

I ordered a pizza from Papa Johns and they said it would be 40 minutes until it was delivered. The price was 12.99 and the total was 15 something. How much do I tip when the driver arrives?

UPDATE1: The pizza arrived. It was delicious!

It is a perfect pan pizza with up to 5 toppings! I only got 4 though: Pepperoni, mushroom, onion, green pepper. Thanks for asking. 🙂

$5.00 tip? Is that what you usually get?

Well - it's actually 4 bucks and some change. Is 4 bucks really gonna kill you?

BTW - my average tip for this afternoon was $4.80.

It's around 25%. Do you tip that amount when you go eat at a restaurant?

Yep. I'm not gonna fret over a few bucks.

I'll tip up to 25% at a decent restaurant if the service is good and I don't have to wait for the waiter to ask for a refill. I usually tip pizza delivery drivers 15%.

You ALWAYS ask for x-cheese if you need a "filler" topping. Sheesh. Pizza noob...

You pay like $1.50 for Coke that costs couple of cents to make but paying the poor pizza delivery guy is unreasonable? Not saying you should or shouldn't tip him well, but it seems hypocritical to criticise overpaying a delivery guy versus a large corporation.

Even when I was broke I always tipped $5 to the pizza guy due to the fact I used to be one (when I was a teen) and there are alot of people who tip for sh!t and with gas as high as it is he could use it more for bringing me good tasting pie.

OH and its like buying hot pie insurance when your a good tipper. Your sure to be one of the first people on his list to stop at instead of dead last and a cold pie for sh!tty tipping 😉

So you're saying I can get a Coke from them for less than $1.50? If not, I fail to see the comparison. Tips aren't mandatory; prices are non-negotiable.
