Found this hint from Seventeen or bust forums and my XP2400 gained about 15% more power for free. Formerly was doing about 99 kcEM / sec and now just over 114 kcEM / sec but I don't see any point why it wouldn't help other projects too. It was easy even for me, 1. download 2. install 3. restart computer.
So what about updating your drivers first, then assimulating some more computers with updated drivers ;)

Will these drivers work with an Epox 8k5a2+ and xp1600+ oc'ed?

How do you tell whether they are suitable for your systems?

I upgraded and my Sandra benchmarks did go up in both cpu and memory. Will lt everything settle a bit and try a 180fsb. Sfar i have not been able to reach that. The highest I can get is 178.

Thanks for the update. I downloaded those a few days ago, but haven't installed them yet. Will do it as soon as I get home. :)

I've got them on a KT266a, but haven't noticed much difference in SETI times.

Very little difference in DF times. About a 3% increase in performance here.

I bet Jani has a KT333 or KT400 chipset; it seems that the KT266A user in this thread didn't see as much performance increase. Considering that I have a KT133A, I probably won't see much difference; nevertheless, I shall try it anyway - it can't hurt. :)

Must...resist...temptation...to...upgrade! :p
