So I just had a 30 minutes phone interview and was successful in getting the real interview now. I'm excited right now! Wish me luck people. I currently work at iPowerWeb... I can officially say I hate customers and India.

UPDATE:

Interview was a success! I passed interview #2... uh... now I have another phone interview tomorrow... WTF is up with this interview business?!?!??!! SO FREAKIN MANY. WISH ME LUCK!

Phone interview is usually a screening. So, consider this coming interview to be your first round. Most companies will have at least one interview after that one.

OMG... How many interviews would I have to go through? Gah, oh well, good experience for interviews necessary. Yes, I do hate India Tech Support. It's like they copy and paste a generic message to everybody that sends an email. WTF?

wait, if thats the reason, then thats EVERY tech support . . . even ones based in USA

good job dude. phone interviews are tough, if you did well on that you should have no problem w/the real life one. unless you have extreme B.O. or something.

what did they ask on the phone interview??

Is it technical stuff? or behavioral stuff?

It might be a screening call to make sure no psycho will come in to their office

😀😀

It was technical and behavioral stuff. I'm considering it right now... but I don't know if I really want to work for this company. The IT Team will consist of the System Architect and Me... (System Administrator/Helpdesk Administrator)
uh...

and hearing the numbers of 12 hour work days is turning me off right now.

Well, they've offered me the job for the mortgage company. Should I go? or stay at the web hosting company earning pennies?

The best thing about the web hosting company is that I'm learning a lot of stuff concerning Unix/Linux servers (system/network administration).

The mortgage company will be Wintel based. Windows 2003 Server machines and some Windows 2000 machines.

I have until 10am tomorrow to decide... decisions...

Unfortunately, it is salaried. Not much at all. 🙁 $36... of course I haven't graduated from College yet... only 1 course away...
now what? The thing that appeals to me most is not the salary, but the health benefits... fully paid benefits PPO. w00t?

I'd say take it. The wintel experience is invauable. it is a mainstreme experience opportunity that you should get. While your there work onthe linux at home and get certified in it and wintel stuff.
