Update! Went on a blind date last night...

Meeting a girl I met through match.com for drinks tonite... the only part that scares me is that I don't know what she looks like. In her e-mails, though, she sounds like a really cool person just to hang out with. We'll see.

I'm all nervous right now too. Ugh.

Update:

OK, met with the girl last night, and she is absolutely beautiful. She was a little on the heavy side, which I don't normally like, but in her case I'll definitely make an exception.

Conversation stayed pretty tame, as expected, but she was really interesting to talk to anyway. Got a cellphone number and a business card out of her, so I guess that's better than nothing.

Anyhow, I'm supposed to see her again next week, so we'll see how things go...

My rule of thumb.

Have a friend call approximately 15 minutes into the date.... so that way if it's a date you need to get out of... you can fake an emergency, and race out to help your friend... and if it's going well... you can just relax and tell your friend he has the wrong number....

Heh... her profile says she is &quot;average&quot; (which almost all girls put down, except the beastly ones). A few extra here and there is fine, so long as she's active. She plays sand volleyball like 3-4 nights a week. I don't doubt that she's in at least good shape.
