Voted for Angela and Wesley. They overcame a whole lot to make their relationship work and their story was pretty touching. I think they deserve it, and I really hope they win.

Come on people, read the bio's and vote for the most deserving couple. Don't vote blindly for someone because someone on a message board told you to.

Okay, I went back and voted for the first couple with the fewest votes.

Quiet you. Your duty to fellow AnandTechers comes first.

This couple really deserves it.

Angela Upstone & Wesley Crawford's Letter

Dear NBC 15,

My fiancé, Wes Crawford, and I would love to be Married in the Morning! We have experienced so much together over the past 7 years, we couldn?t think of a better way to get married, than to share our story of love with our family, friends, and NBC 15 viewers. Our story is one of hope and encouragement. It shows that love can make it through some of the toughest times ? you just have to believe in it. Here is our story:

I met Wes while I was at Winona State University. I met him at a college party and we went back to his friend?s house and talked until 7:30am the next morning. When I got home, I told my roommate, ?I am going to marry that man?. She laughed at me but I just knew that he was the one.

We had a long-distance relationship for the first 16 months while I finished college. We drove to see each other almost every weekend. We both relocated to Madison, WI after I graduated. Wes asked me to marry him on February 26, 1999. Around the same time, I found out I was pregnant. Although it was not planned, we were both very excited. Both of our parents wanted us to be married before the baby came, but we didn?t want to throw together a cheap wedding just because of the baby ? we wanted our wedding to be a special occasion that we would always remember. On September 13, 1999, Weston, our little angel, came into our lives. Within the first week, he was hospitalized with a virus. This was the beginning of caring for a sick child for the next 18 months. We thanked God that Weston was never seriously ill, but he continuously had viruses and sleeping problems. Caring for a sick child and never getting a break or any sleep became very stressful and we started to take it out on each other instead of leaning on one another. We had a wedding date set for June 16, 2001, but it was cancelled the beginning of March and we split up. We were living apart for about 6 months but still saw each other almost every other day. We found that we just couldn?t stay apart, so we started couples therapy to figure out how we could talk to each other again. After several months, we were back together and working on the relationship. We both wanted to give it a second chance to try and find the love that we once shared. Too many couples give up too easily and we didn?t want to be another statistic. After a lot of heartache, talks, tears and forgiveness, we found that love again. With the tremendous help of our close friends and family, we made it past all of the obstacles that most couples experience in their first 5 years of a marriage. Because of this, we are a very strong and close couple. We know our love is unique because it kept us going when others thought it was no longer possible. On February 14, 2003, Wes asked me to marry him during dinner in our home with our son. It couldn?t have been more perfect. I am finally going to marry him, 7 years later. This story may not mirror the traditional ?fairytale? but I wouldn?t change it for anything in the world.

We hope that we get the opportunity to share our story with everyone. In the world today, people have gotten so busy with work, technology and hatred that they have forgotten to live life to the fullest. Everyone deserves that second chance. We have been blessed with happiness and health and we want to share that happiness with everyone!

Sincerely,

Angela Upstone (and Wesley Crawford)
