cat5e/6/7 represent!

Nice find. You can use cat5 for just about anything. IIRC the standard was ratified around 1995 and it was designed specifically for 100 Base-T. Cat 3 is rated up to 16 Mhz and was commonly used for phone, 10 Base-T and Token Ring *cough BROKEN ring*
