Update - Video Display Problem After Launching TV on All-In-Wonder Radeon

Hi. I just installed an ATI ALL IN WONDER RADEON 32MB DDR in a new system (PIII 933 Mhz, 256 memory on an Asus CUSL2). The video displays fine until I launch the TV tuner in the ATI Multimedia Center. The TV palys fine but, multi-colored "hash marks" begin to appear arond the screen. They will appear in some sections of the desktop, on the Start button, on the drop down menus, etc. The only way to get rid of them is to restart. Then, everything is fine until I launch the TV, again. I could not find anything on ATI's web site. Can anyone help? Thanks.

This is a resolution? I found that if I go to Display settings and to the Advanced button and then the Troubleshooting tab and then set the Hardware Acceleration to the first stop below full, the multi-colored hash marks problem does not happen. Anybody have any ideas? I don't really want to be changing the settings everytime I start TV. And who knows what other problems are lurking?

I had a similar problem as you .. i also have ati all in wonder radeon.. i realized that the driver that microsoft provided on the product update cause my TV program to act weird.. did you install that driver? if you did try remove it and just use the driver that ATI provided.. it fixed mine 🙂

Yes I did get the Microsoft driver. I will try going back to the ATI driver. Thanks for all of your responses. AZ

Curious, i posted elsewere, but with this TV card, can you play a console system on your Monitor through your computer such as PS2 or Dreamcast?

Yes, you can hook up a PS2, or Dreamcast directly to the card. I have my PS2 hooked up directly to my AIW Radeon using an S-video cable. You can also use just a regular composite A/V cable.

Wow, finally a hit. I have posted all over the net, and was amazed to find no one has used their computer to view consoles. Now if I can just find a person that has used ATI's new all in wonder tv usb gadget, so I can PS2 on my laptop. Thanks for the input there.
