First I will give you the low down on my situation. I am currently in texas for some military training. I will be here for 4 months and without internet. So I went over to verizon and go setup with the wireless internet for the Laptop. It is a PC Card( PCMCIA I believe)... Well i also brought my destop because its good for gaming of course. Well I dont have a slot in the desktop to put the card in so I want to share the internet connection of the laptop.
How would I go about doing this.
I have run the network install utitlity thing that microsoft has and its not really working. In fact it is just making things more confusing.
I have a network cable between the two computers and trying to share the connection. Nothing is working.
Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong, and what I need to do to fix the problem

Okay hook up the two computers to the hub and still not working right. when i go to repair the connection it can not renew the ip address. what does this mean. What do i need to do now?
