For those of you still searching for a CD-RW deal. NECX has the 12/10/32 TDK VeloCD for $227, they also have a $25 off over $199 offer and free shipping. Get the TDK rebate for $50 and end price is $227-$25IR - $50MIR = $152. Good deal on the TDK!

Update.............. Get it Here with same deal for $224.95 before discount. Same code works, save $3 more :D Final cost now under $150.

I got in on the $259 - $30 <cpn> - $50 <MIR> - $10 <MIR> (free shipping? I forget  ) 50 CDRs bundle deal @ buy.com.

Looks like a good deal to me. Hard to compare with the compusa $99 deal though. (Iomega)

I bought the TDK & think it's great -> Nice box, easy to install, excellent workmanship... even a VHS 'how to' tape.

$152 is about $20 bucks less than I paid which make it a better deal than I scored.

The $99 deal on the Iomega 12x burner is over.

No intention to thread crap. Keep 'em good deals commin' jskibo.

Don't sweat it--this has come up before--you simply cannot crap on a thread in this forum. Hot=hot, and if it isn't, we want to know. Period.

On the TDK, I too got in on the buy.com deal. Although the Iomega is a great deal, the TDK does support 32x audio rip now, so it is an even better deal than ever. (Okay, maybe not as hot as the iomega...:)

Anyway, if you haven't gotten in any recent deals, this is about $30 less than I just paid three weeks ago.

That's a pretty good deal.

Even though it's not a Plextor (right?) but it's still got BURNPROOF.

A very nice deal. Thanks for posting it, jskibo. This is the cheapest rebadged Plextor PX-W1210A deal around right now and TDK actually supports it with current firmware, unlike Iomega and their version.

You can find the $25 instant off rebate code for NECX at Techbargains Coupon Page

Yeah, it (TDK) actually is a Plextor, but the Iomega is a Sanyo, if I'm not mistaken.

I seem to be having a problem using the coupon. It won't show anything for discount program. Anyone else having this problem?

NOTE: In order to use the coupon, you need to have the receive special emails from NECX on in your user account.

I had that problem when I first tried ordering. I dumped the cart and started over and it worked fine.

This is a great drive and still a great price. Do you think the "one per address/household" applies if I sent in the rebate request for the offer ending 12/31/01, in other words would they deny my rebate request for a drive purchased today? I would think/hope that since there are two specific rebate periods going that they would honor both.......any comments?

Walked my friend through this deal last night and it showed the -$25 coupon, but when he pressed the final Submit, the print out page said $227.95. So watch out.
