Update sound card drivers

Hi
I have an onboard sound card (Realtek AC'97 ALC655) and I would like to update its drivers.
To install the new drivers have I to uninstall the old ones first (they are not in the add/remove programs) or may I install the new drivers over the old ones?
Later if I have problems with the new drivers how can I uninstall them and install again the old drivers?

Just do an update drivers in control panel - system and force the new drivers in, you can roll them back then if you have problems.
