UPDATE (11/3/12) - Known Issues with Card: http://www.techpowerup.com/174858/S...Affected-by-quot-Black-Screen-quot-Issue.html

I can no longer recommend this card, and I suggest no one purchase the card at this point.

---------------------------------

UPDATE (11/2/12): Now available for $180AR/FS at TigerDirect (see info in later posts), but review the following warning before purchasing:

Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102983

At $185AR, this is $15 less than any HD7870 has been previously, and also less than nearly every HD7850 2GB currently available.

Expires at the end of the day Nov. 1st.

That's a good price for a 7870--cheaper than Sapphire's own 7850 2gb. Overclocked, too. No free game, though.

I have to agree that the reviews are kind of scary. I've certainly never had any black-screen crashes with my HIS 7870.

You can now get this at TigerDirect for $180 after $70 coupon XFM75634 and $15 rebate. You also get Sleeping Dogs.

^With Fatwallet cashback and perhaps selling off Sleeping Dogs for $15/$20, that makes it even more tempting.

^Judging by that link and NE reviews, Sapphire should be recalling those cards. The problem doesn't seem to be isolated.
