Ha!

I think you underestimate the stupidity of humans

Anyway - good luck with the new wife! (And computer for that matter :p)

I'll keep the wife....:)

As for the PC...it "seems" OK but I might have to tell her that "certain components" are toast (assuming they really aren't) and have to *cough* replace them *cough* (with better components of course! :p )

Good to hear. I like where you are going with this idea too. :sneaky:

BTW you mentioned a video card here but nothing in the specs.

Keep your PC on the desk and not beside it. No one is stupid enough to put a glass on top of the case.

I have a big wooden desk with an over sized desktop that creates an overhang on each side. I can safely put two PCs next to this desk, one on each side, and they are completely protected from the top. I hate shit ON my desk, especially a computer case.

Putting a computer takes away from available desktop space. It also makes closer to your ears making it louder.

Keep your computer on the floor just keep drinks away from it

Losing desktop space doesn't matter if the desk is large to begin with, or if there is not a lot of stuff you need to keep on it.

Being closer doesn't matter either if your PC is quiet to begin with.

A computer on the floor will take dust in more easily. Accessing the back panel is also more difficult.

wtf. My desk is small because I have a small room. My computer is quite but the quieter the better.

Clean your computer out more often?

Edit: PC seems to be fine. Intel Rapid Storage utility did fire up and is running a verify/correction cycle.

Crosses fingers!

Hopefully it turns out ok for you, got a friend at work that spilled a coffee on her laptop. It works now. Sometimes.

When I first got a case with a top fan, I was always afraid that I might spill or drop something into it (drink, small screws, staples, eraser shavings), so I decided to keep the PC under the desk. I think I will continue keeping it there.

Yes - you clearly need $1500 for the new flux capacitor as the ram can no longer be rebooted during game play causing the memory matrix to crash

The bearings are probably all worn out from not being allowed to spin down when you pulled the plug...
