Great stuff. Hope it makes your lives easier. Does this mean with the pump you can eat more of what you want when you want as long as you just release the insulin? Is that basically what it's for?

exactly. He also get to decide when he eats as well now.

there is a fixed flow (basal rate) that is steadily being released. When he eats we program the pump to give him extra insulin (bolus.) There isnt anything out there right now that can sense blood sugar and then adjust for highs or lows. I am sure there will be at some point though.
