Does Power supply effect the chance for OC success,
especially, in T-bird?

Thanks..

yes. Tbirds use a lot of power. insufficient power would lead to instability, or maybe even the inability to run the configuration.

I have a 250Watt ps, and try to OC this T-Bird 850.
Yes, pencil trick has unlock the cpu nicely.
But I can only run stable at 900Mhz @ 1.8V. (9 X 100 )
It can post at 11 X 100 @ 1.85, but that is it!!!!!!!!!!!

That doesn't really make sense, does it? I meant I should able to get at least 950Mhz?

Yes, I have Good Apacer PC 133 RAM.
I also have

2 extra case fans.
1 extra VGA card fan.
1 SCSI CDR
1 IDE CDROM
NIC,
firewire,
Sound,

I really hope the PS is the problem..I am getting this 400Watt if I have to!!!

Today I went on the local PC store and bite the bullet!
Yes, got a 400Watt PS to replace my 250Watt.

NO change of RAM/CHIP SETTING, simply change multiplier to 10X.
then increase to 1.85V.

It runs at 1000Mhz...perfectly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can safely say.......PS DOES matter if you are OCing T-bird!!!!!!!!!!!!!
