Damn just watched it on the 5pm news, what a whore. I wish i could have slapped her mouth for the spewing loving things she had to say about her boyfriend.
My wife is sitting for the daughter while the father is at work. she is starting to show the behavior problems associated with what she went through.
I really hope that the boyfriends get sent to prison for a very long time.
ADAMS COUNTY - A mother in Adams County is standing by the man accused in the death of her 16-month-old son.
9NEWS Reporter Cheryl Preheim talks with the baby?s mother. 5 p.m. Jan. 2, 2004.
Sarah Rodriguez's boyfriend, Sigido Sibayan, appeared in court Friday. He's charged with child abuse resulting in death.
The arrest records detail a long list of injuries, old and new. Detectives claim baby Mikhal had suffered terrible abuse, but Rodriguez says her son was not abused.
Rodriguez says Sibayan loved to care for both her children. She says he was gentle and loving and would never mean to hurt any child.
At 16-months-old Mikhal was getting steady on his feet, and he loved to follow his big sister around.
?I want people to know how happy he was,? Rodriguez said. ?I want people to know he liked to play. He liked cars. He wasn't abused and he wasn't unhappy.?
Rodriguez was at work on Nov. 2, when police found Mikhal not breathing and without a pulse on the living room floor.
Doctors say the baby died of a brain injury consistent with a child who had been violently shaken.
Police arrested Sibayan, who was babysitting at the time.
?It's really hard to see them trump up all these charges and state that he's some horrible person who is extremely angry at a child,? Rodriguez said, adding, ?Sigedo would hurt himself before he'd hurt a child.?
The affidavit says Mikhal's sister told police a brat head lives at her house, punches her, pinches her and hit Mikhail?s tooth out with a hammer.
?When that stuff came out, I was shocked and horrified,? Rodriguez said. ?My daughter doesn't talk that way. I'm worried they put things in her mouth and telling her things that just aren't true.?
Rodriguez has not been able to see her 5-year-old daughter since Mikhal's death. She says social services won't let her.
The mother of two won't talk specifically about what she believes caused Mikhal's death because of the pending court case.
Sibayan will be back in court in a couple of weeks.
