So I took the advice here and went to the doctor. She numbed my leg up and cut it open though much didn't come out. She said I have a cyst under that spot that will need to come out after the antibiotics clear up the infection. How long should I see a difference with these antibiotics? My leg isn't hurting to the touch but the spot on the my nose is still red as ever and sore. I went Friday and have been taking two pills a day and rubbing a cream on several times a day.

Today I was checking my leg out and I can feel the huge cyst under my skin and it is freaking me out. It is a least the width of a quarter or more across.

I've never had a staph infection, so no direct experience. I would expect it to start feeling better after 4 days, and much better after 7 days.

I'm not a doc but I suggset not poking and prodding that cyst too much. I don't think it leaking out under your skin would be good for you.

When I had staph the antibiotics cleared up most of it in 24 hours. Thats just me though. Whenever I have something that need antibiotics I usually lose most of it in one day.

Same thing for that weird ass fever I had last year at this time. It wasnt a cold. It wasnt a flu. It was making me fucking miserable. Held on for almost a month. I woke up every two hours awash in sweat. Sore throat. Blocked nose. Stuffy ears. Various fluids coming out of various holes. Couldnt keep any food down. No one could diagnose it (which probably says more about the ineptitude of Oregon doctors than anything else). Moved back home sick. Almost threw up on the plane. Decided to beat it once and for all.
Went to a Virginia doctor, he still didnt know what it was but felt like antibiotics were worth a shot.
Next day I was super.
