OK I checked to see if anyone posted this yet but I didn't see. So check this out....

Office Depot has the buy one slab of 25 DVD's and get another for free. BUT this time you have a choice of Phillips DVD+R OR Verbatim DVD-R
Add 2 of each of those, looks like you CAN'T mix them so 2 of the same, and enter Coupon Code 84399791 this will do the buy get one free. Then add the coupon code for $10 off $50, can be found at the fat wallet. So you get 50 blank DVD's for $50 shipped. These are name brand NOT off brand, so quality should be good.
Does anybody know anything about either of these??? It seems the Phillips are 2.4X speed and the Verbatin I am not sure, but they look like the 2X speed. So any help on which is better?? Thanks

MODS PLEASE DO NOT LOCK, THE COUPON CODE IS ON OFFICE DEPOTS WEB-SITE.

So anybody know the quality of these DVD's? Burn speed, DVD player quality, etc...???

UPDATE
OK just got my Verbatim DVD-R in. I ran DVDid and it came up with....

Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:RITEKG03]

So they are Ritek G03 , these are pretty good from what I have heard, correct? :)

I wouldn't take a chance with those, when you can get Ritek G04's that are actually 4X at Newegg, 50pcs for $54.99 shipped.

EDIT: Oops, I see they are OOS right now, but they expect more today...

Last time OD had these as B1G1 I got the Verbatims (DVD+R) and they were 4X and not a coaster to be seen. If you get them for store pick-up just ask to switch to 4x discs if you get the lowers speed blanks.

If I'm not mistaken the 25 pack Verbatim discs are not 4X. For some reason the 15 packs have been 4X so I don't know why they don't use them in their 25 packs. I don't think any of these discs on sale are 4X, which makes it not such a great deal.

The Philips are either Ricoh (best) or CMC (mixed results). DVDRhelp has all the info on these and may more.

Last time I got 2 pack of the Verbatim DVD-R, they are 2x and they are good no coaster yet. Work well on my TDK +/- drive.
