Good router, especially for its dial up support that help me out during the dsl downtime. Definitely worth a bump for this price.

Yes, this is an excellent router. Just so you know, though, I got my $50 rebate last week after submitting it last August.

Yes excellent router.

I'm fighting for my $30 zones.com rebate from November. I got multiple conflicting stories like I sent in the wrong UPC code (there is only ONE and I still have the box) to typos in the name. Then I just found out a few days ago that the two people helping me no longer worked there and that someone else would help me.

And a few weeks ago I got another EMail just like the one I got in November from rebatestatus.com that they had just received my application for my $30 rebate.

sigh!!

If you still have the box from your old router, you can use the UPC from that. Buy the one from CompUSA, xerox the receipt (assuming they accept copies of the receipt, on the CompUSA rebate slip) and return the new (unopened) router to CompUSA.

I just received my $50 rebate check from the zones deal. You should email Carl Wilson at smc.com and check up on it. Her email is her name separated by a period at smc.com. I've got a phone number too if anyone needs it. pm me. She did respond in a day or two to my email.

My luck is worse. I bought mine the last time Compusa had the deal at the end of Dec.. I got the 25 instant but didn't realize that the mir had to be post marked by 1/12. The day I found out was the 13th. I called SMC and they wouldn't budge. It was also past the return date. Yesterday I see here that they are running it again. I called SMC again and got the same A#!hole. She's like a broken record. Can't do it. I said to her that I had called before and was told no and now a few weeks later and they're running it again. No. Maybe if I can get a scan of a reciept or something. I still have the box.

FYI, I believe this router is hardware identical to the D-Link 704 on sale @ Bestbuy for $30 after rebates. (I'm not sure if the Compusa SMC Router includes the print server function (The DLINK 704p does), but, the DLINK does have the dial up routing --which I'm using right now as well as the 4port switch).

The DLink 704 deal has been posted as well and it is $79.9x - $20 - $30 = 30+tax after rebate. Both rebates print out at the register @ best buy and one requires a copy of the UPC and rebate receipt, the other requires the original UPC and rebate receipt.
