Update: Neocore 3D Benchmark! Let's get some GPU results

Nobody wants to benchmark their phone's GPU? And you guys call yourselves enthusiasts!

Won't run on my phone, though other Droid users are reporting that it works according to the reviews. Might just be the ROM I'm using.

Benchmarkpi gives me 1181 with Android 2.2 on my N1. An improvement of 140% over what I got with Android 2.1 running the same test.

That sounds really promising. Can't wait till my Incredible gets 2.2, but that probably won't be until after Q2 this year.

Ran Neocore on my Inc. and got 26.4 FPS both with sound on and off.

N1 with Froyo

Benchmark Pi 1154

It feels a bit more brisk, but it's not 2X as fast. Web pages are still taking a while to load even on WiFi.

Motorola Devour, stock running 1.6 with Motoblur. Slightly upgrade CPU from the older/basic models. Also runs at 600 MHz I believe.

Ranges from 10K to 10.8K in BenchmarkPi
Neocore runs around 41-42 fps.

Swapped it for a Droid 2 days ago. Running Froyo with the 800MHz kernel.

Neocore only around 23-24, but much higher resolution obviously. Looked plenty fast to my eye. BenchmarkPi was in the 1.8-1.9K range this time. A tiny bit faster :awe:
