SERIOUSLY... OMG.

Edit: PIC!

I'm leaving it at the windowsill drying right now... I seriously do hope it can at least work.. There's no way I can warranty this because I just flashed my firmware last night...

Now if the screen dies they may never know I flashed anything =P

UPDATE: Drying for a few hrs in the sun then since sun is gone, I put my phone into my comp between my 2 HDs so it gets 120mm fan blowage...

Moisture still left in screen (but a lot is gone), and some in the camera lens. I gambled and I turned it on. Turned on PERFECTLY well.

MP3 mode works and music started blasting.

Camera even works and the flash light turns on.. so phone mode works (Yes I have a K750i flashed to a W800i, so if you know how W800i works, you understand what I mean).

However, LCD backlight is dead.. meaning I can't see a thing, and I had to do all this holding my phone up to a light bulb... =(

What good is a cell w/o backlight?

let it go through the entire wash and dry.. just take out the battery asap

mine still worked after I washed and dried it.. even with the battery. It was a Samsung S105

You might have to take it apart to dry it off thoroughly.

My cell phone and house phone are different area codes... No long distance calling plan... FVCK... 8 minutes left and it's spin drying.... I just spent $10 to flash my firmware last night and I had an awesome modded phone.. today it's dead.

I washed mine, it was pretty much okay. The antenna didn't work, but I was able to save my SIMM card. Whatever you do LET IT DRY OUT BEFORE TURNING IT ON. Take a blow dryer on low and run it over it.

I dont know if I would use a blowdryer or not....

I stepped into a pool with it in my pocket once and was pissed because I had JUST got the thing and spent a ton of $$ on it. Anyways, I took it home and took it apart and set it on a towel next to our dehumidifier. Came back about a day later and put it all back together and its still going strong over a year later. I've had good luck with using the dehumidifier on the phone, but again as it was mentioned dont turn it on and take the battery off asap.

my friend just lost his phone to the laundry too. don't conclude that it's officially dead after 9 minutes. give it a night to dry out.

I once ran a USB thumbdrive (Memorex Traveldrive) through the wash cycle in my jeans. I remembered halfway through, pulled it out, and yanked the casing off to dry it out. The inside didn't have a drop of water in it.

Still worked, once I taped it back in its casing, until I sold it for cheap and bought one with a higher capacity.

If a traveldrive can make it through the wash, your phone is probably gonna be okay after a night of drying.

Totally dead? Maybe you can salvage the casing and the battery, and the memory stick... and the headphones.

Wow thats amazing, good job not freaking out and letting it dry. I have a friend that dropped his phone into the urinal as he was wee'ing. Washed it and left it to dry for a few days and all is good as new. Cracks me up everytime I see him use is urinal phone tho. Good thing you saved your k750i, where did you get it that you can still get it warrantied?

edit: sorry to hear about the backlight, that sucks and can be a pain, but most warranties should cover that.

It's not 100% dry, but even when I pulled it out, I saw the screen working but without backlight..

I figure even if its 100% dry, the screen is probably dead...

THe only problem is I flashed my phone to a W800i effectively voiding warranty. I could flash it back, but flashing costs me $$$... Iono.. I guess I should've left it as a K750i, and it could probably be warrantied.. I got it somewhere in the Bay Area, but I know the phone itself is from China.

I had spin cycle too.. IT got pretty banged up I guess that's why there's scratches.....

Washer door locks automatically, so I couldnt' do anything. When I got to it, it was 14 min into wash, and 11 min left. I guess I should've just unplugged it but I was a bit scared to do so....
