$150 rebate
$100 rebate
There is a $15 rebate floating around--I'm not sure if I can put a link here for it. Can someone confirm if I'm allowed to?
Update on 12/13: Looks like this same notebook is on sale for $799 - $150 - $100 = $549.99 + tax w/ free shipping + $20 off $200 on next purchase

Update: Looks like the $150 rebate expired on 12/13 even though their site shows both rebates so for now YMMV.

It looks like the $150 MIR has been extended to Dec. 20th. The deal looks pretty warm to me.
how do the Athlon-M processors compare to Pentium 4-M and Pentium M (Centrino)
I think the XP holds its own pretty well against the Intel line, particularly against the cache-crippled Celerons that you generally see on budget lappies. According to the Anandtech Budget CPU Shootout the XP2200+ garners 18.3 Business Winstones, compared to 13.5 for the 2.4 GHz Celeries commonly seen on inexpensive notebooks and 15,4 for the PIV 1.8 GHz, which has the same clock speed as the XP2200+.
