hi all, i'm getting a P4 2.6 C processor from a friend.. and its a 2.6/512/800 SL6WH Costa Rica ..does anybody know what " SL6WH Costa Rica" means?

I have only used AMD systems so far.. so i'm not sure how Intel setting works.. Is this chip a good O/Cer? I'll be using an ABIT 865 chipset board with it.

Can somebody explain OR forward me to an Intel stepping Databse URL

TIA!

I don't think anyone has identified a good stepping for the 2.6's. For example, the SL6Z3 (2.4) and SL6Z5 (2.8) are known good OC'ers, but I'm not sure if there is a magical chip for the 2.6.

Here's Intel's S-Spec database: link But it looks like you already know what there is to know: it's a 2.6C Northwood, and OC'ing is the luck of the draw. Good luck :)
